What we teach
Six kinds of class, one stage
Every class is up to 12 students. Students take the kinds that suit them, and the ensemble class puts them together.
Ensemble
Songs, scenes and dance put together as a number. This is where a class learns to work as a cast.
Find a timeStage dance
Jazz and tap steps built into numbers, taught on a count and put into the show.
Find a timeActing
Reading a scene, listening to a partner and saying a line so the back row hears it.
Find a timeAudition lab
On Saturdays, older students choose a song, cut it and practice walking into a room.

What a class is like
Most classes follow the same five steps, whatever the kind.
- 01
Step 1: Arrive and warm up
Students shed bags in the lobby and warm up their voices and bodies together.
- 02
Step 2: Work a skill
The teacher takes one skill: a harmony, a step, a line of a scene.
- 03
Step 3: Put it in a number
The skill goes into a piece of a song or a scene the class is building.
- 04
Step 4: Show each other
Pairs and groups of four show each other what they made, and the teacher gives notes.
- 05
Step 5: Cool down
A last song or stretch, and a word about what comes next week.
